Test Descriptions
Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI)
A 15–30 minute live phone interview with a certified rater. Candidates respond to general and role-play questions to assess their ability to speak the standard form of the target language. Evaluation focuses solely on oral communication skills—not on the opinions or content shared.

Oral Proficiency Interview – Computer (OPIc)
A 20–40 minute computer- or phone-based version of the OPI, using pre-recorded prompts tailored to the candidate's background. Candidates speak into a microphone, and their responses are evaluated for spoken fluency in the standard form of the language.

Writing Proficiency Test (WPT)
A 20–80 minute writing assessment delivered online. Candidates respond to 4–5 prompts with multiple tasks, designed to reflect real-world writing situations across personal, academic, and professional contexts. Responses must demonstrate the ability to write clearly, persuasively, or informatively in the target language.

Reading Proficiency Test (RPT)
A multiple-choice test that measures reading comprehension in the target language, without the use of dictionaries or grammar aids. The test evaluates how well the candidate understands various texts across increasing levels of difficulty. Duration: 50–125 minutes depending on the selected proficiency range.

Listening Proficiency Test (LPT)
An audio-based test that measures listening comprehension. Candidates listen to spoken passages and answer multiple-choice questions in the target language. The test adapts to various skill levels, with durations ranging from 50–125 minutes.
